Question #1:

Could I have help understanding this part in a knitting pattern?

I am knitting some gloves. The directions call for double-pointed needles. I was wondering how i would arrange the 34 stitches on 3 needles when the directions say to "arrange needles so that the beginning of the round is NOT at the edge of a needle."

Here are the casting-on directions word for word:

"CO 34 sts in MC
Arrange on needles so that the beginning of the round is NOT at the edge of a needle. This will make it easier to carry the extra colors up the inside edge and snug up the joins from one color to the next."

THANKS!

Question #2:

Does your spouse really work at getting you into bed or does he/she just wait until bed and pounce!?

Doesnt it work much better if you woo your spouse... like do nice things... pay attention when they talk.... rub their back, massage their feet.... like really care about them.... rather then eat dinner while reading the paper or watching the football game.... going downstairs or to the garage or to the knitting room and at bed time, just thinking its okay to suddenly pounce on their intended sexual victim?????
ummm this isnt a problem for me, its just a general question to ask out of curiousity... nobody pounces on this cat!

Question #3:

Take a look at some things I've knitted (For sale)?

I've made two beanies for babies (one for 0-3 month olds; the other for 6-12 month olds.) And I've knitted a large pink bow hair accessorie. Take a look?: Click Here I'll be making more soon! Tell me what you think and where I need improvements, please.

Question #4:

Why do government programs exist for things we KNOW can be done on an individual level?

I'm 17 so I might be a little naive about this. I'm wondering why things that can be done on an individual or private level like medical care, education and social protection are run by the government? Isn't it inefficient and risky?

I'm not dissing seniors who have Medicare, its worked for now but its unsustainable. All of the profits are being used for further government spending and eventually the program will be run on a deficit. If we never had this program, families would be tight knit. Our society will HAVE to encourage kids to do good in school, go to college and get a good job in order to take care of their parents. That's why kids have so much more drive in countries like India and China. They know that it will be their responsibility to take care of their parents and not the government and tax payers. Also, people will be more encouraged to invest or save up for the future. Cuts to Medicaid and Social Security wouldn't help the poor, but it would encourage them to strive for a better future. As long as welfare is good enough for people to become completely dependent on it, there won't be any motivation for people to help themselves.

Education is another story. Isn't it more efficient to privatize? The college prep high school I attend is partly funded by large private corporations and partly by the government so its sustainable. When you so much tax dollars going toward failing schools, we're better off privatizing. If parents have to PAY for their kid going to school, all the more reasons to expect more out of the youth. Since our society lack's an immediate sense of dependency on the next generation, it might even explain our high divorce rates.

So basically, what logic is there with these unsustainable programs? Cutting all of these programs and making individuals families accountable for their own future would make the country stronger and not a "welfare republic". Plus the government will become smaller and with less influence. The collected taxes can be used for things that can't be done individually or privately like maintaining a strong military, space exploration, conducting large scale research and providing law enforcement, emergency services and disaster relief.

So would we overall be better off without those large entitlement programs?

Question #5:

Do you people ever had this kinda feeling when a season is almost over?

Question #6:

someone... anyone... posted 3 times no still no answers :(?

It happened in a moments time, when the heavenly creator decided to put another soul in the universe. He pondered on every detail of the new found love that He was creating in his mothers womb. As the days passed and the more love and devotion He put into the little being growing within, His creation became perfect in every way inside and out. He found glory and satisfaction in what He had made. The time was drawing near for the birth of his new life outside of the womb where he was knitted together so beautifully. The Lord became saddened knowing that soon He would be parted from His new love which had brought Him so much joy. He had fallen in love so deep that He wanted him near His side at the beginning and end of every day. He was chosen by the hand of God to sit with Him at His throne to watch and observe every moment of life that ever was and will be. His life brought happiness to the hearts of his family and honor and glory to our Father. His life ended with sadness in those who never met him, but began with blessings when our great and merciful Father found favor within him and took him as His own. Together they will share a life of never ending bliss. How blessed are they who came together to allow our Father to begin his work in a life that would please our God far more than our minds could ever imagine. His soul left before it saw the world and saddened the hearts of many, but let us not forget the short life he had was blessed with the company of the Lord and will be for all of eternity.

Question #14:

Why can't we wear free clothing in public without being instantly judged as either "hoes" or straight "freaks"?

Haha so i was at the mall with my bestie yesterday & we were trying on clothes. There was this knitted type vest thing, in fact lemme see if i can find it, there it is!: Click Here
I really like it but the only way i would wear it is without anything under. Now i don't mean to sound like a nudist or a straight hippie or anything, but obviously if i were to wear that out in public it would be absolutely unacceptable. I don't see why though.
I am not a hoe, & i am (to a certain extent) not a "freak", whatever that means(for lack of a better word), or at least if you saw me walking out in the street you would probably think i'm pretty "normal"....again whatever that means, by just looking at me.
But i mean, you know if we were to all just be okay with these kinds of things & dress freely in public (like many places in europe do) it would become a totally NOT WEIRD thing to do. The body is a natural thing & i don't get why showing it has to be a sex symbol. Like i would honestly be scared to wear that in some places safetly-wise. haha
My question here though, is (& i'm not trying to be redundant or whiny when saying this) why must we immediately judge someone if we see them out on the street like that. I'm pretty sure the place i live at, if i were to wear that & go walk around downtown i would get countless comments from dudes, & probably a good 200 people/50 parents (at the very least) giving me dirty AS$ looks or commenting on my attire. ...
I have never in my years of living seen someone come out casually like that, & i cannot even IMAGINE what people who think & or say about me if i were to come out like that. HAHAAH but i;m sure a lot of people would never talk to me again after that. LOL
Anyways i'm pretty bold but not bold enough to wear that out like that in public...but i still plan on getting it!!! :P ...maybe i would wear it some sort of festival or something ;)

Man really long ramble sorry i''ll stop there.

But please give your thoughts, comments, approval, or disapproval & please state reasons!!!
Ahahaahah Love ya!!!
Peace :)
Haha Jackie.....i don't know if i made it apparent that when i said Nothing under it, i meant like, uhm nothing...not even a bra....& the vest has holes in it :PPP
You are all awesome. Thanks for your positivity & encouragement!
Much Love to all!!!
